1. What can be cooked in Waaree Solar Thermal LLP compact solar cooker?

Ans - Most anything, which you can cook in a conventional electric or gas oven, can be cooked in a compact solar cooker. You can bake, boil and steam using any of your favourite recipes. You cannot fry and you can't make chapatt.

2. .How does the cooked-food taste?

Ans- Food cooked in compact solar cooker tastes much better than food cooked over Conventional stoves. In slow cooking, natural flavours and fibre retains its shape. Cooked food rises to its full volume and is fluffy. The food is always tender and more palatable.

3. How long does it take to cook?

Ans- Cooking takes 1.25 to 2 hours. Cooking time depends on intensity of sunshine and the nature and quantity of material to be cooked. Hard meat and pulses take some more time to cook

4. Does Compact Solar cooker require special utensils?

Ans- They do require special utensils with black colour coated. Compact solar cooker is supplied with Aluminium pots.

5. Does food require constant stirring?

Ans- Solar cooker requires no stirring because there are no hot spots. The temperature rise is gradual. It is Difficult to burn food in a compact solar cooker, which is well  loaded.

6. Does compact solar cooker require maintenance?
 Ans - Compact solar cooker is virtually maintenance free but the glass requires to be carefully handled. Even if it breaks it can be easily replaced. The only other maintenance required is Re-anodizing of black selective coating if it wears off.

7. Does compact solar cooker need constant tracking?

Ans- If the cooker is placed at the average position of the sun's transit over the sky, tracking may not be necessary. However, if the cooker is aimed at the sun at start a couple of nudges to reposition it over the 1-3-hour period would be desirable.

8. Can we cook with clay pots?

Ans- No, we cannot use clay pot as they need more heat which cannot be generated in solar cooker. We are providing SS food grade pots with black coated outside that is to be used.

9. Can we use this cooker as dryer?
Ans - No, the dryer has low temperature range. The cooker has High temperature due to which products colour and nutrition may affect.

10.What is the capacity of pots?

 Ans - Each pot capacity is 1 litre 4 pot cookers are designed for 4-person family, if you load more in the pots beyond half level as per recipe booklet it may take more time to cook.

11. Can we use my current stainless-steel induction pots inside this cooker?

Ans-  You can use it, but the size needs to be in the range of height of pot not more than 3 inch and it should be black painted from outside. 

 12. Does this product have a warranty?

Ans - standard one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Also, there are not such part which fails during operation. Just wear and tear may happen or glass can damage physically over period of time. And that glass can be fitted by any local fitter.

13. If I cook rice or sprouts in this, what happens to the steam generated? Does it go out?

Ans- No as these pots are not complete air tight like pressure cooker. The pots are of SS and little bit tight so you can open easily and it retains steam inside so the food is cooked.

14. Does it have a convex lens, or concave mirror to facilitate the heating?

Ans - No, it's plain Glasses and plain mirror and the structure creates enough heat for heating

15. For how many years it can be used, if I use it every day for 6 hrs. or more?

Ans- If you use properly, it does not have any life time. It will keep working, until the sun keeps shining. 

16. Is the angle of the lid adjustable or it is always at 90 degrees?

Ans- Back mirror lid is adjustable with slotted support link. We can adjust.
